Moorfield North Industrial Business Park.
This project comprised the design and build of two new industrial units within Kilmarnock’s Moorfield North Industrial Park.
The two new units, classed as Unit 4 and Unit 5 within the existing business park, provide over 60,000sq.ft. of much needed industrial space which will be leased out by the council to boost jobs and help local companies expand. During our works, East Ayrshire Council secured new tenants for each of the buildings, with one being a window manufacturer and the other unit being rented by a furniture store, who use the building as a distribution centre.
Unit 4 provides 29,000sq.ft. of warehouse space, whilst the slightly larger Unit 5 provides 35,500sq.ft. Both units were constructed with a steel frame with a concrete slab floor with a mixture of cavity walls, metal cladding and roofing.
