Moxy, Edinburgh Airport.
This project included the design and build of a new, 5-storey, 230 bedroom Moxy hotel on the Royal Highland showground site beside Edinburgh Airport.
The works included earthworks, drainage, civils, foundations, structural steel, concrete flooring, precast stairs, wall cladding, render, curtain walling, single ply membrane, M&E installation, joinerwork, decoration, flooring and ancillary works.
An innovative modular construction technique was utilised to maximise the build speed, increase quality and health and safety. The modular CLT pod construction which is manufactured in Italy, is transported in sections and assembled on site.
